KENWOOD KX-5010 Direct Drive stereo cassette deck
Here we have the sought after KX5010 Kenwood, loved by many due to the direct drive Sanko mech thats also used in the nakamichi decks. This is the last of the "modern" decks to use this highly regarded mech. It was downhill after this!
Parts are no longer available for this mech, so all assist and capstan motors are stripped and rebuilt including polishing the brushes and commutator, strator and checking the windings. This ensures the motors runs like new, but is very time consuming!
I`d rate the condition as almost Mint, or 4.55 out of 5 - slight signs of use for age
The Machine has been fully stripped and restored including new rollers, belts, tape speed measurement etc.
Comes with a blank tape, cables and manual to get you started!
